We’re excited to seat you at Blaq – where the food’s as fresh as the mountain air and the vibe’s as chilled as our Aussie sparkling. We’re all about seasonal, globally inspired flavours, local love, and a bit of Blue Mountains magic. Chefs Alejandro Huerta and Galia Valadez bring their Mexican roots to the table to serve up deliciousness with a laid-back style. Think bold flavours, good company, and zero pretension.

 
 

THE MENU

We’re proud of our Blue Mountains home, and we showcase the region’s best produce with seasonal, flavour-driven food. Executive chef Alejandro Huerta and head pastry chef Galia Valadez draw on their Mexican heritage and Australian home to craft playfully thoughtful dishes influenced by global cuisine and made for sharing.

CRAFTED COCKTAILS

Giving your standard cocktail list the proper shake up, we’ve brought flair and flavour to Blaq’s signature drinks. Making use of local ingredients, artisanal spirits and plenty of creativity, the cocktails here are playful and punchy. Of course, if you can’t go past a negroni or margarita, we always have the classics available.

THE WINE LIST

Blaq’s multi-award winning wine list has been curated by master sommelier Andrés Aragón and expresses the beauty, diversity and terroir of New South Wales wines and its iconic sub-regions. We highlight new and exciting producers from the state, balanced with older vintages from classic NSW regions. Come have fun exploring our ever-evolving list at our Blackheath restaurant.

Our local libation heroes don’t stop at wine; we’ve sourced spirits, beers and liqueurs from award-winning producers. Pull up a stool at the bar and sip our signature cocktails, grab a book and relax on the terrace with a local ale or cider. And for the non drinkers (we see you!), dive into a selection of non-alc cocktails, wines, beer and softies.

Lunch is served Saturday & Sunday, 12pm to 3pm

The Blaq Out menu is offered Monday & Tuesday night, 5pm to 9pm

BLAQ CHEFS

Executive Chef Alejandro Huerta brings high-definition flavour to the Blaq kitchen with his clever, curious and creative fare. With time spent rattling the pans at global icons such as Noma in Copenhagen and Pujol in his native Mexico, plus stints at Sydney’s Chica Bonita and Comedor, Alejandro’s food is a wildly delicious playlist of world-class technique and local Blue Mountains flavour that’s complemented by sweet finales from head pastry chef Galia Valadez. Galia’s incredible desserts and pastries have been influenced by her time spent at Michelin-starred Lillas Pastia in Spain and Sydney’s No. 92. So make sure to leave some room for dessert.
